The family based second preference category (spouses or children of a permanent resident) remains current for September 2013. Any spouse or child of a permanent resident remain eligible to concurrently file Form I-130 Immigrant Petition for Alien Relative and Form I-485 Adjustment of Status Application (or move forward with consular processing) this month.
